VK hires people to create ticket sales service
MOSCOW, Jul 27 (PRIME) -- Internet company VK is hiring people to work in a service allowing the customers to buy tickets and visit events in Russia, according to job postings seen by PRIME on recruiting website hh.ru on Thursday.
"We are creating a service to be built in our social networks and to help the users visit the most interesting events in the country," the postings read.
Business daily Kommersant reported at the end of June citing draft amendments to a government order that VK could become a united ticket operator under a state subsidy program for the youth the Pushkin Card.
Director of the Association of Professional Users of Social Networks and Messengers Vladimir Zykov told PRIME that VK could be developing its own ticket service and negotiating an acquisition of a competitor at the same time. The development of an own service could take up to six months, he said.
